Focus on health and well-being

We at Kringsjaa know how important it is to have a good working environment. We ourselves think that we have a fantastic workplace, and we want everyone who starts with us to experience that as well. That is why we put a lot of effort into ensuring that new colleagues feel welcome and get a good start on their career with us.

Why is a good working environment so important?

A good working environment can be decisive in attracting and retaining good employees. Which in itself is good enough reason to highlight a good working environment as an area of focus.

At the same time, both physical exposure at work and psychological and social factors are conditions that influence sickness absence. When as much as six out of ten doctor-reported days of sick leave are due to musculoskeletal and psychological problems, there is no doubt that a good working environment can contribute to reduced sickness absence.

For us, it is important that our employees have a good working environment. We are part of the Østheim group, and together we work on measures to reduce sickness absence, in addition to many other measures to create a workplace where people feel comfortable.

This is how we deal with the working environment at Kringsjaa:

  • As a new employee at Kringsjaa, you will receive thorough training in our systems and routines. Our staff handbook, which is available in both Norwegian and English, is easily accessible both on the app and on the internet. The personnel handbook includes the company's rules and routines as well as references to the Working Environment Act and employees' general rights and duties.

  • During their first time with us, all new employees will be offered to participate in a number of relevant HMS courses, several of which are compulsory. All employees receive training in first aid.

  • Regular work environment surveys are carried out in collaboration with the occupational health service. This is a useful tool for uncovering how the employees experience various conditions in the workplace, and not least how we stand in relation to other companies.

Sick leave is also the basis for regular measurement.

  • We strive to involve the safety representatives in relevant decisions, and strengthen the safety representatives' role in the organisation.

  • Kringsjaa collaborates with NEMUS, and gives all our employees free access to a chiropractor and physiotherapist. This is a preventive measure to reduce sickness absence caused by muscle- and skeletal disorders.

  • We strive for organized work and/or training as an alternative to sick leave.
